Carillion Corporate Sustainability Standards for 2005

The Carillion Standards are targets which we have achieved in previous years but that continue to be an important part of our sustainability strategy. These standards need to be highlighted to ensure we continue to perform and that they become embedded in the way we work.

2010 Objective		Standard
CARILLION STANDARDS… to be delivered through business streams
Establish Carillion-wide standards in environmental, social and economic performance.	All Carillion employees to have an appraisal at least once a year
	Contribute at least 1% of profits to community activities (cash & in-kind)
	Each Business Group to produce inspiring examples of our active community engagement
	Increase direct purchasing of FSC timber in line with WWF/Greenpeace agreements
	Deliver Carillion Estates 2005 energy action plan Note Estates plan to 2010 is to achieve Econ 19 benchmark
	Demonstrate progress in winning work through our sustainability approach though interviews/surveys of the "25 recent wins" beginning of year versus end of year
	Sustainability will be a key ‘energising’ part of Carillion’s graduate recruitment process – “grasping hearts and minds”.
