Health and Safety – Corporate objectives and targets
2010 Objectives – To be a recognised leader (top three in each business sector) for the positive impact we have on the communities with which we work.
2004 Target – Implement new plc driven OH&S Management System.
We received a 100% score for this target.
The following information was presented to the auditor:
• OH&S PowerPoint presentation delivered to plc board meeting July 2004
• Health and safety targets and performance matrix, version 1.02
• E-mail 5th Jan 05 which states 'we have now developed the document to a standard that, without prejudice, BSI believes satisfies the requirements of OHSAS18001'.

• Minutes from H&S meeting, 16th March 2004
• Minutes from OH&S Management Strategy meeting April 04
• PLC Board Briefing document 6th July 2004
• Safety promotion leaflets
• Business improvement plans for H&S.
The businesses have been reporting against the new system since June 2004. All businesses are reporting on the AC2 model and have set improvement plans.
2005 Target – Demonstrate 15% improvement in OH&S against Carillion excellence model.
