Case Record – “Hard Hats are for life not just for Christmas”

Issue: It is company policy for hard hats to be worn at the Construction Training Centres, but it is difficult to highlight the importance of this issue without constant nagging! Solution: What was needed was a little inspiration and some creative thinking. The painting and decorating team have worked wonders and designed a tree which trainees hang their hard hats on at the end of their days work. In the photo is Arthur Carter, the decorating instructor who was responsible for the project. He was overwhelmed by the response of the trainees who took a little of coaxing to start the erecting/painting of the tree but then he could not slow them down. Overall they were very proud of the way the Sunderland centre adopted our safety and hard hat wearing policy to suit the needs of the Christmas spirit.
