Urban Birds Nest Boxing Scheme
The provision of nest boxes throughout Birmingham and the Black Country for bird species covered in the Local Biodiversity Action Plan. Including black redstart, peregrine, kestrel, starling, house sparrow, swift, house martin and swallow.

Cumbria Wildlife Trust & M6 Guardsmill and DEFRA Penrith

Fritillary Butterfly Habitat Protection Project
The high brown and pearl-bordered fritillary butterfly are both mentioned in the Cumbria Biodiversity Action Plan and each have a specific Species Action plan. The project will undertake coppicing, and hedge construction.

London Wildlife Trust & Carillion Services

Spencer Road Wetland Water Vole Project
Pond improvement, construction and restoration including planting of wetland vegetation to provide food and shelter for water voles.

Surrey Wildlife Trust & Surrey Highway Maintenance

Bridging the Gap - Bay Pond Educational Reserve SSSI
Construction of new access to parts of the nature reserve, once access has been constructed, habitat improvement works will also take place.

Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and Carillion Head Office

Wom Brook Water Vole Project - Phase 2
Building on the work done during last year by Carillion, The Trust, Local Volunteers and Staffordshire County Council to create new ponds, which now have signs of water voles on them. Problems do still exist on the site though, such as the presence of invasive Himalayan balsam and erosion of the banks.
Phase 2 of the project will include a tree survey and development of a tree management plan. As well as a drainage study, willow weaving and Himalayan Balsam pulling that Carillion volunteers can get involved in.
