Chain participants including customers, suppliers, sub-contractors
and designers.
The company will achieve best
practice performance in environmentally aware Supply Chain
Management by:
Identifying
the significant impacts of materials and services in use
and purchasing these to specifications, which are complaint
with legislation and environmentally sound.
Considering
and encouraging other Supply Chain partners to consider,
environmentally positive alternative specifications.
Demonstrating
efficient use of energy, water, packaging and raw materials
and taking appropriate opportunities to minimise waste
ad to re-use and recycle.
Assessing the
environmental commitment of suppliers and sub-contractors,
monitoring their performance and providing feedback and
advise on performance and improvement opportunities.
Working in partnership
with other participants in the Supply Chain to achieve
continual improvement in performance and cost effectiveness.
Provide relevant
training.
Establishing
systems and action plans for the effective environmental
management of the Supply Chain, communicating these to
other participants and reporting on performance.
